Cyclists Gear Up To Raise $305,000 To Aid In Fight Against MS!

WINDSOR, Conn. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Connecticut Chapter is gearing up to host the 26th annual bkm/Steelcase MS Bike Tour, presented by SAAB, to be held Sunday, June 3, at 5 Waterside Crossing in Windsor, Conn. Cyclists select from 2-, 10-, 25-, 50- or 100-mile routes.
More than 6,000 Connecticut residents are affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), a potentially debilitating disease affecting the central nervous system. The cause is unknown, and, as a result, there is currently no cure for MS. Connecticut residents can help end the devastating effects of MS. The 2006 event raised a record $270,000, the largest amount raised in its 25-year history. This year the chapter hopes to raise $305,000. Funds raised through chapter events, such as the bkm/Steelcase MS Bike Tour, ensure ongoing scientific research to find a cure and provide for the continuation of vital programs and services offered by the chapter to those in Connecticut affected by MS.
On-site registration begins at the following times:

6:30 a.m. for 100-mile route. Start time is scheduled for 7 a.m. -
8:30 a.m. for 50-mile route. Start time is scheduled for 9 a.m. -
9:30 a.m. for 25-mile route. Start time is scheduled for 10 a.m. -
10:30 a.m. for 10-mile route. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m. -
11:30 a.m. for 2-mile route. Start time is scheduled for noon.
